From the mountain station of the cable car on the Belalp, the themed trail leads to the Aletschbord, then down to the Holzji and over the hamlet of Egga back to Blatten bei Naters. Along the way down to the hamlet Egga, you will find information boards illustrating details about the native flora and fauna. In Holzji, there is a wildlife observation post. It is worth stopping there and with a bit of luck you might even catch a glimpse of the native wildlife.
This hike can be done alone or under the expert guidance of a hunter or a forester. Along the way, you will learn valuable information about wildlife and forest from information boards.
The path can also be taken in reverse direction from Blatten to the Belalp.
