The hike initially leads from Geimen to Geimerblatt. The path gently climbs towards Birgisch. At first, you follow the Stockeri-Suone and the view opens down into the Rhone Valley.
From Birgisch (Ägerten), there follows a relatively steep ascent up to Nessel. It is worth looking back from time to time and enjoying the view. The Alp Nessel is ideal for a longer break. Visit the chapel "Maria zum Schnee" and the wonderful view of the Rhone Valley, the Simplon, and the Belalp.
The last stage to the Belalp is again rather gentle. On reaching Alpe Bäll, you can make a detour to the dairy and buy fresh alpine milk products. From here it is about 1 kilometer to the mountain station of the cable car.
Of course, the hike can also be done in the reverse direction starting from the Belalp.
