The circular hike starts in the saffron village of Mund and leads via the hamlet of Warbflie to the grotto chapel in Gstein.
The chapel lies hidden under a massive, flat overhanging rock. On the rock, an eight-meter-high wooden cross draws attention to the chapel of grace. It commemorates a Marian apparition in 1857. This event continuously attracted pilgrims, so that between 1885 and 1887 a first chapel was built. In 1983/1984 the old chapel was demolished and a new grotto chapel was built. The rock on which the alleged apparition was seen today forms the protective roof. Experience the irresistible and mysterious attraction of this secluded place.
