Marble Run Trail through the Rischinerwald – an experience for little explorers and adventurers
The approximately 1.15 km long adventure trail leads through the mystical Rischinerwald and combines playful discovery with the beauty and tranquility of nature. Over a stretch of 122 meters elevation, you encounter six handcrafted marble runs made from wooden trunks lovingly created by Forst Massa from deadwood and winter damage – a sustainable nature project that excites.
The starting point is at the valley station of the Belalp cable cars in Blatten. The trail ascends steadily but is easy to walk through the shady forest up to the Stalden parking lot in the Rischinerwald. The pure walking time is about 40 minutes, with play and discovery time, naturally, longer.
The wooden balls for the runs can be purchased for CHF 2.– at the Blatten tourist office or at the counter of the Belalp cable cars.
🌲 Important notes:
The trail is not suitable for strollers (unpaved forest paths, roots, and steps).
The ground can be slippery and slick when wet or raining – please wear sturdy shoes and walk carefully.
There are two Swiss family fire pits along the way – ideal for a small break.
🔥 Attention: No firewood is available on site, and reservations are not possible.
✨ The Rischinerwald invites you with its moss-covered floors, gnarled trees, and mysterious light moods to dream and discover. Perhaps you will find traces of dwarfs, elves, or even the little Belalp witch, who – it is said – flies through the treetops on especially quiet days…
An ideal nature adventure for families with children from 3 years old – for marveling, playing, and experiencing together!
