The Brig Men's Choir and the Upper Valais Hunters' and Nature Lovers' Choir invite you to a joint concert entitled “Male Voices from the Upper Valais”. The program includes traditional folk songs, sacred works and well-known classics - sometimes performed by one choir alone, sometimes together.
A particular highlight is the song “Weischus dii?” by Eugen Meier and Hannes Taugwalder, which was awarded first prize in a national composition competition. Works such as “Im schönsten Wiesengrunde”, “Griechischer Wein”, “Tibié Paiom” and “Conquest of Paradise” will also be performed.
The two choirs can look back on a long history: the Oberwalliser Jäger- und Naturfreundechor was founded in 1976 and has been under the direction of Melanie Veser since 2025. The Brig Men's Choir, active since 1895, has been conducted by Hansruedi Kämpfen since 1992.
